Advocacy & Program Services

Multiple scenes of a woman with black hair, wearing a green ALMA t-shirt, interacting with teenagers in a classroom setting. The classroom has posters about rights and supporting students with learning challenges, and a whiteboard with related topics. The woman is engaging in conversations, listening, and providing support to the teens who appear to have diverse backgrounds.

An ALMA advocate will teach you how to advocate for yourself and offer resources for the future. You are NOT alone.

Navigating ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to face it alone. ALMA provides experienced advocacy support to ensure that students with disabilities receive the services and accommodations they are legally entitled to under IDEA.

We attend ARD meetings with families, help interpret complex educational language, and advocate for appropriate goals, services, and placements. Our focus is simple: to make sure every decision reflects the true needs of the child—not just what is easiest for the system.

Our goal is not just to attend a meeting—but to stand with you from start to finish. At ALMA, advocacy is more than a service—it’s a commitment. We ensure families feel informed, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

If your school is punishing your Childs disability instead of addressing it, you need an advocate. Your child has rights.
