Ms. Ramirez took the time to help me understand how to manage my own disability benefits, how to apply for a job, apply for an ID, manage my money and secure a place to live when the system removed housing without providing me any resources to prevent being houseless. If it were not for Ms. Ramirez, I would have been on the street on my 18th birthday.
